Your gift to The Betty and Jacob Friedman Holistic Garden ensures a healthy and vibrant learning experience for our students and community, while providing fresh produce and herbs to Rice undergraduate residential college serveries. As a model of sustainable urban agriculture, the garden is a living lab where undergraduate and graduate students engage in interdisciplinary research, experiential education and community-building.

The Betty and Jacob Friedman Holistic Garden and Sustainable Food Program at Rice University was established in 2018 to introduce the Rice community to the social, environmental and public health benefits of gardening.
