Center for Civic Leadership - Global Local Connections

The Center for Civic Leadership’s (CCL) mission is to nurture networks on and off campus that work collectively to address systemic challenges. The CCL equips students and faculty to leverage their skills to work with stakeholders to act on social issues locally and globally.

With programming centered on co-education with community partners, faculty, and alumni, students are introduced to the social implications of their work inside and outside of the classroom. As part of the Center’s new strategic plan, and in line with Momentous, the CCL is working to enhance global-local connections in the Houston area. Through engagement with community organizations, alumni, and friends of the University, the CCL will be hosting panels, events, and networking opportunities throughout the upcoming months to create connections for greater student experiential learning.
