Chao College

We are living through a defining moment in Rice’s history: the founding of Chao College. Moments like this invite us not only to build a new college, but to imagine its new traditions and community. We envision mentoring dinners, career workshops, storytelling nights and open mics, shared meals and cultural celebrations, and cheering each other on in different competitions.

Chao College is dedicated to building a joyful, supportive environment where students grow as scholars, professionals, and whole individuals. Our aim is to build a college culture where care and curiosity walk hand in hand, and where every student knows they matter.
