When will I receive my items?

Once the campaign ends on June 30th, fulfillment of gear packages will begin. All packages will be shipped at the campaign’s close, and can be expected at the end of July. Thank you for your patience.

I'm excited about this year's Rice socks! Will I also get a pair of Rice socks with my gift to this campaign?

With a gift of $500+ to this campaign you will only receive a Nike gear package. To receive a pair of socks, you can make an additional gift of $35 or more to any designation, but your gift must be made through our separate Rice Socks 2026 campaign.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. You will receive a tax receipt in the mail after you make a gift. However, please note that there is an exchange of goods and services if you choose to receive an item with your donation. The fair market value of the item we are providing is $200. For donations under $10,000, the fair market value of the item will reduce the tax deductibility of the donation, in accordance with federal tax regulations. 

What if I don’t want the gear package?

If you wish to decline your gear package and receive full tax deductibility for your donation, please indicate your preference by declining the gift on the donation form. 

What is the fit of the items?

All of the items fit true to size.

Can my gear be shipped internationally?

No. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship internationally. Only U.S. addresses will be able to receive the items.

Can Rice ship the gear to my relative/friend/student?

Your item will be sent to the mailing address you provide when you make your gift. Unfortunately, we are unable to send the items to a different address.

How can I get more than one gear package? For example, if I give $1,000, will I receive two packages?

In appreciation of your generosity, we are only sending one gear package per transaction, no matter the size of the gift. To receive another gear package, you will need to make an additional and separate gift of $500 or more.

I don’t see my favorite area of support. How can I give to that fund or program?

Gifts must be designated for Rice Athletics Scholarship Fund in order to receive the gear package. If you would like to support other areas of the university without receiving a gear package, please click here.
